LCCC Rodeo Fairs Well at Eastern Wyoming College Rodeo

Torrington, Wyo. – Brock Belkham won the Tie Down Roping long go with a 8.8 sec run and won the Tie Down Roping average with a 20.0 on two. Belkham tied his short-go calf in 11.2 seconds, placing him eighth in the Central Rocky Mountain Region standings. Houston Brown tied for first in the Saddle Bronc Riding with a score of 155 on two.

Rance Johnson and Jacob Kammerer (Gillette College) took fifth in the team roping with a time of 22.8 on two. Bernard Girard was fifth in the Men's All-Around. Girard was second in the long-go with a time of 4.7 and finished sixth with a time of 21.1 on two runs. He also took 10th in the Tie Down Roping with a long-go time of 11.6 and a no score in the short-go. Jaylee Simonson took eighth in the Goat Tying average with a two-run total of 16.9 seconds. Riley Simmons placed ninth in the Saddle Bronc, scoring 71 in the long-go. Kaden Lappe came in 10th in the Steer Wrestling with a long-go time of 5.3 and no score in the short-go.

Laramie County came in second on the men's side scoring 435 points. The women finished ninth.

The LCCC Rodeo team will have a weekend off and then travel to Fort Collins to compete in the CSU Rodeo April 5-7.
