LCCC Rodeo Fairs Well at CWC Rodeo

RIVERTON, Wyoming – Houston Brown finished in a tie for second in the tie-down roping with a 9.3 long-go run and an average of 19.8.

Chase Miller tied his short-go calf in 10.3 seconds, placing him third in the short-go and fourth in the average. Miller was in a tie for fourth in the team roping teaming up with Caydee Johnson. They finished with an average of 16.8. Johnson made it back to the short-go in the goat tying and roped two goats in 16.4.

Austin Hurlburt teamed up with Brandy Schaack (UW) and gathered seventh in the team roping with an average of 20.1 on two runs. Georgie Lage went on to get seventh in the break away roping who roped to calves in 15.7 seconds.

Bridger Hansen hung on for eighth in the bareback riding, scoring a ride of 64 in the long-go. Riley Simmons finished in eighth with a long-go score of 67. Clayton Symons came in ninth in the tie-down roping with a long-go time of 10.3.

LCCC men's team were in fourth and the women's team came in ninth this weekend at the Central Wyoming College Rodeo.

The LCCC Rodeo team will travel to Lamar to compete in the Lamar College Rodeo October 5-7, and wrap up their fall season by hosting the Shawn Dubie Memorial Rodeo in the LCCC Arena October, 12-14.
