CY Christensen Wins Breakaway Roping at UW Rodeo

Laramie, WY – Senior CY Christensen led the Laramie County Community College Rodeo team at the University of Wyoming Rodeo in Laramie this past weekend. The native of Kennebec, South Dakota had an average of 4.7 in her event. She also won the Women's All-Around event with 260 points. She helped the Golden Eagles to an eighth place finish in the rodeo. The men finished ninth at the event.

Steer Wrestler Gage Greer has qualified for the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper next month.

 

Top Performers:

CY Christensen won the Women's All-Around with 260 points.

CY Christensen won the Breakaway Roping with an average of 4.7 on two runs.

Linzee Adamson took 4th in the Barrel Racing with an average of 31.66 on two runs.

Doug Johnson and Tate Mathis gathered 7th in the Team Roping with a long-go run of 8.6.

Rance Johnson finished 7th in the Tie-Down Roping with an average of 22.4.

Gage Greer came in 7th in the Steer Wrestling with a long-go run of 6.9.

Cameron Fanning took 8th in the Steer Wrestling with a long-go run of 7.8.

Ty Simmons finished 9th in the Saddle Bronc with an average score of 138.
