Tyler, Texas – Eastern Florida State College scored two goals early and the Golden Eagles were unable to respond and fell 4-0 to the Titans in the NJCAA National Tournament Semifinal. The Golden Eagles finished the year 16-5-1 after the loss.
Eastern Florida scored a goal in the 4th minute of the game to take a 1-0 lead off the foot of Abdoulaye Diop. In the 7th minute Moussa Gueye made it 2-0. EFSC added another in the 28th minute to take a 3-0 lead into the half. Aedon Kyra added a goal in the 73rd minute to round out the scoring. Omar Castruita (Boulder, Colorado) and Manny Tapia (Longmont, Colorado) had three shots apiece for the Golden Eagles. Tapia put two of his shots on goal.
This was the first time the Golden Eagles had reached the NJCAA National Tournament.
