Tyler, Texas – The Laramie County Community College men's soccer team scored three second half goals in a 3-0 win against Cowley Community College (KS) in their first match at the NJCAA National Tournament. The win pushes the Golden Eagles record to 16-3-1 for the season.
The Golden Eagles got on the board in the 49th minute when Cameron Broadhurst (Broomfield, Colorado) picked up a loose ball struck a shot in the upper left corner. Bryan Vazquez (Denver, Colorado) scored in the 79th minute on an assist from Omar Castruita (Boulder, Colorado) to double the lead. LCCC would get one more goal in the 83rd minute when Castruita played Noe Ortiz-Pena (Aurora, Colorado) in for the third goal. Declan Domyan (Johannesburg, South Africa) had five saves in goal for the Golden Eagles.
