Cheyenne, Wy. – LCCC hosted Northwest College Saturday afternoon, the final score resulting in a 0-0 tie. With the draw, the Golden Eagles move to 4-5-1 overall and 3-2-1 in Region IX North play.
Laramie County put the pressure on early, getting a few shots off early. Ricardo Vazquez (Denver, Colorado) had good look early on but had his shot sail over the bar. LCCC kept their defense solid blocking three shots to keep NC out of the net. The Golden Eagles nearly got on the board right before the half but had a goal called back due to an offside call. The match at the half was 0-0.
The Golden Eagles would create some good looks in the second half but were unable to get past Northwest goalkeeper Marcus Olmos. LCCC had another solid attempt late in the second overtime but couldn't score.
The Golden Eagles will be on the road against Gillette College on October, 10 at 3 p.m. in Gillette.
