Laramie County Falls to College of Southern Nevada

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – A first minute goal penalty kick strike by College of Southern Nevada was enough as they defeated the Laramie County Community College Golden Eagles 4-0 on Saturday evening.

Marcos DelAngel-Parra converted on a penalty kick in the first minute to put the Coyotes up early in the match. College of Southern Nevada then got a second in the 43rd minute as Maliq Cooper put his shot away on the far post. Cooper found the back of the net for the second time in the 71st minute and a Golden Eagle own goal in the 84th minute rounded out the scoring.

In goal, Brady Mangel (Thornton, Colorado) faced 16 shots and saved four of them. For the team head-to-head, College of Southern Nevada led Laramie County in shots (16-15), shots on goal (8-7) and LCCC held the advantage in corner kicks (7-4).

Next up, the Golden Eagles will host Western Wyoming Community College on Sept. 12th at Cheyenne East High School with a kickoff set for 4:30 p.m.
