LCCC Falls to Victor Valley College

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Hitting the road for the first this season, the Laramie County Community College men's soccer team fell to Victory Valley College 2-1 after 90 minutes of action on Friday night.

The Golden Eagles lone goal came in the 67th minute off the foot of Sawyer Cirbo (Thornton, Colorado) to cut the VVC lead in half. Cirbo was able to take the ball off a defenders foot and fire a shot off the crossbar.

Victor Valley took the lead in the 26th minute off a penalty kick by Efron Gomes. They would carry the lead into the half. VVC doubled their lead in the 53rd minute off another penalty kick from Gomes.

Brady Mangel (Thornton, Colorado) was in goal for the Golden Eagles and made four saves.

In the team head-to-head, the Golden Eagles dominated in shots 17-9 to go with an advantage of 8-2 in corner kicks, 5-4.

Next up, Laramie County will play the host school #20 College of Southern Nevada with a kickoff set for 9 p.m. mst.
