TRINIDAD – Laramie County Community College had a chance to equalize late in the match but missed a penalty kick as the Golden Eagles men's soccer team fell to Trinidad State Junior College, 1-0, on Saturday afternoon on the road in a Region IX Quarterfinal.
Ueslei Vicente Silva led the Trojans with goal as he converted on a penalty kick in the 60th minute. In the closing moments of the game LCCC was awarded a penalty but failed to convert.
Angel Alvarez (Las Vegas, Nevada) finished with seven saves and Shamar Jemison had six for Trinidad.
LCCC finished the year 3-12-1.
