SHERIDAN – Sheridan College took advantage of an opportunity late in the match as the Laramie County Community College men's soccer lost 1-0 on Saturday afternoon against the Generals. The loss drops the Golden Eagles to 3-11-1.
The Golden Eagles outshot their opponent 17-10 but the Generals led in shots on goal 6-4. Israel Hernandez (Las Vegas, Nevada) led the Golden Eagles with six total shots and three on goal. The goal came in the 86th minute when Jose Guerrero finished a pass from Nicolas Parris.
LCCC will now enter the Region IX Tournament as the #4 seed from the north and will travel to #1 seed from the south Trinidad State Junior College. The matchup will take place on Saturday afternoon and kickoff at 2 p.m. in Trinidad, Colorado.
