Slow Start Trips LCCC on Road

TRINIDAD, Colo. – Laramie County Community College men's basketball suffered a 80-77 loss to Trinidad State Junior College on the road Tuesday, Nov. 26th in Trinidad, Colorado.

The Golden Eagles wrap up the road trip against Utah State University-Eastern at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30.

TSJC led 40-35 at halftime, but the Golden Eagles opened the second half with a run to get back into the game.

Sophomore guard Cortney Dean (Denver, Colorado) led the scoring with 15 points. Freshman post Ashraf Tchadouwa (Toronto, Canada) led LCCC with 14 points and 10 rebounds for his first career double-double. Sophomore wing Mateo Zovko (Mostar, Bosnia) followed with 14 points and seven rebounds.

The Golden Eagles finished at 42.5 percent (31-for-73) from the floor, including 26.5 percent (9-for-34) from behind the arc.

TSJC out-rebounded LCCC 37-33 on the night. David Muenkat led TSJC with 17 points and Dylan West had 16 points. The Trojans shot 40 percent from the field and 30.8 percent from the three-point line.
