CHEYENNE, WY – Laramie County Community College guard Tyrese Potoma has inked a National Letter of Intent with NCAA DI Cleveland State University.
Potoma will join the Vikings for the 2019 season.
In his LCCC career, Potoma appeared in 31 games, starting in all of those 31 games. He averaged 18.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists in his one year with the Golden Eagles. Potoma's 18.8 ppg led the team on the year. He also had a team-high 1.4 steals per game.
Potoma shot a 45.1% from the field and 45.2% from the three-point line. He shot 83.8% from the foul line and led the team in both three-point and free throw shooting percentage.
During the 2018-19 season, Potoma scored in double figures 27 times. He poured in a season-high 37-point effort against Casper College on Jan. 12. He scored 30 points or more four times this past season.
The Vikings compete in the Horizon League.
