Golden Eagles Pull Out OT Win Against Eastern Wyoming

CHEYENNE, WYOMING – The Laramie County Community College men's basketball team pulled out a win against Eastern Wyoming College in overtime on Wednesday 93-89.

LCCC was led by Tyrese Potoma (Regina, Canada) with 31 points, including 4-of-9 threes. He was followed by Kyle Cabs (Denver, Colorado) with 15 points, Stephane Manzi (Nyamirambo, Rwanda) with 14 and David Appelgren (Stockholm, Sweden) with 12 points.

Eastern Wyoming was led by Brandon Meadows, who had 27 points.

LCCC combined for 30-of-64 shooting for 46.9 percent, 11-of-30 from beyond the arc for 36.7 percent and 22-of-27 from the charity stripe for 81.5 percent. EWC shot 32-of-76 for 42.1 percent, 11-of-33 from 3-point range for 33.3 percent and 14-of-17 free throws for 82.4 percent.

LCCC collected 35 rebounds and forced the Lancers to 14 turnovers, while the Lancers had 48 rebounds and force the Golden Eagles to 13 turnovers.

The Golden Eagles will be on the road on Saturday at Sheridan College at 4 p.m.
