Salt Lake City, Utah – The Laramie County Community College men's basketball team lost a hard-fought game 86-75 to #8 Salt Lake Community College at the Salt Lake Community College Classic on Saturday evening.

LCCC stands at 3-6 on the season, while Salt Lake improved to 7-1.

Tyrese Potoma (Regina, Canada) shot 7-17 from the field to pace the Golden Eagles with 18 points, as well as making two steals. Daequan Spragion (Brooklyn, New York) had a double-double performance with 14 points and 10 rebounds, shooting 6-12 overall and hitting two free throws. He also led them in assists with six in the game. Stephane Manzi (Nyamirambo, Rwanda) contributed 13 points, eight rebounds and a steal. David Appelgren (Stockholm, Sweden) had seven points and made three blocks.

The Golden Eagles shot 41.8 percent from the field, while the Bruins hit 44 percent of their shots.

Laramie County will host Northeastern Junior College on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
