CHEYENNE, Wyo. – In a home match under head coach, Jason Ficca, the Laramie County Community College men's basketball team defeated Power 2 Play Elite. The Golden Eagles proved too much for Power 2 Play and ran past them by a score of 92-85.

LCCC improves to 3-3 on the young season. Next up, the Golden Eagles will be at Trinidad State Junior College on Tuesday for a 4 p.m. tip.

10 Golden Eagles saw the floor and were led in scoring by Tyrese Potoma (Regina, Canada) with 29 points and Cortney Dean (Denver, Colorado) with 19 points. Mateo Zovko (Mostar, Bosnia) was in double figures with 12 points. Daequan Sragion (Brooklyn, New York) and David Appelgren (Stockholm, Sweden) each had 10.

The navy and gold did manage to shoot 47.8 percent (11-of-23) from behind the arc but only shot 58.6 percent (17-for-29) at the free throw line
