Laramie County Hands McCook Second Loss, 80-74

CHEYENNE, WY – Despite trailing by 10 midway through the first half, the Laramie County Community College men's basketball clawed back to take control against McCook Community College Saturday at home. The Golden Eagles made 45.6 percent (26-of-57) of their field goal attempts and held the Indians to 39.3 percent (24-for-61) of their looks to win it, 80-74.

Tyrese Potoma (Regina, Canada) poured in a career-high 30 points thanks in part to six three-pointers on eight attempts. Those six triples are the most any Golden Eagle has made all year. The freshman also finished with a game-high five steals and four assists.

Daequan Spragion (Brooklyn, New York) also scored in double-figures with 20 points and 10 rebounds. The Golden Eagles also got nine points from Hayden Collier (Rangiora, New Zealand).

The Golden Eagles led 44-38 at the half and lead by as many as 15 with 8:24 remaining.

LCCC now welcomes Power 2 Play Elite on Friday with the tip set for 7 p.m.
