Wyche Nets Game-high 23 in Loss at Otero Junior College

LA JUNTA, Colo. – The Laramie County Community College men's basketball team fell 77-72 to Otero Junior College on Saturday afternoon in the Region IX South regular season finale in La Junta.

With the loss, Laramie County falls to 17-13 on the season and 9-7 in the Region IX South. Otero JC upped its record to 26-3, 14-2 in Region IX South. One of those three losses was to LCCC back on January 19th.

Da'Zhon Wyche (Anchorage, Alaska) finished with a game-high 23 points and team-high four assists. Zaire Mateen (Queens, New York) added 19 points and six rebounds. Landon Taliaferro (Boulder, Colorado) was the third player in double figures for the Golden Eagles with 14 points.

Otero saw five players finish in double figures with Chudier Bile leading the way with 14 points. Josh McNair, Jervae Robinson, Jonathan Scott and Sekou Cisse scored 12 points apiece.

The Golden Eagles shot 35.6 percent from the field (26-73), 40 percent from the perimeter (10-25) and 76.9 percent (10-13) from the free throw line.

The Rattlers shot 52.5 percent from the field (31-59), 28.6 percent from 3-point range (4-14) and 78.6 percent (11-14) from the foul line.
