POWELL, Wyo. – The Laramie County Community College men's basketball team picked up a big road win on Tuesday evening as they knocked off Northwest College 84-77.

LCCC is now 6-3 overall and have won four in a row.

The Golden Eagles were led by Zaire Mateen (Queens, New York) with 26 points. Elijah Oliver (Cheyenne, Wyoming) and Landon Taliaferro (Boulder, Colorado) each had 25 points. Taliaferro and Kyle Wright (West Orange, New Jersey) pulled down eight rebounds. Mateen had a team-high four steals.

LCCC shot 43.9 percent from the field and 30 percent from the three-point line. The Golden Eagles had the advantage in rebounds 38-33. The Golden Eagles put together a strong second half as they erased a 10-point deficit at the half.

The Golden Eagles will be back in action on Dec. 1 on the road at North Platte Community College.
