CHEYENNE, WY – The Laramie County Community College had a strong shooting as they pulled away in the second half, defeating P2P Elite, 98-71, on Friday evening at the RAC.

Laramie County (4-3) kept the Elite out of rhythm early in the opening half and got a couple three-pointers by Landon Taliaferro (Boulder, Colorado). LCCC led 47-31 at the half.

LCCC pulled away in the second half and finished with a 49-40 edge in rebounds and forced the Elite into 18 turnovers. LCCC was led by Taliaferro with 33 points. Zaire Mateen (Queens, New York) added 21 points.

LCCC shot 38 of 85 (44.7 percent) from the field and 39.3 percent from the three-point line.

Golden Eagles are back in action on Saturday as they host Rexburg United at 4 p.m.
