Meads Signs with Pepperdine University

Cheyenne, WY- Laramie County Community College men's basketball player Harrison Meads signed a National Letter of Intent with Pepperdine University (CA) on Wednesday.

The 6'7 sophomore from New Plymouth, New Zealand played in 34 games averaging 9.3 points per game and 6.6 rebounds per game. He shot 65.8 percent from field on the season. Meads opened the year with a 19 rebound performance against the Northern Colorado All-Stars and scored a career-high 18 points against Trinidad State Junior College on February 10th.

He helped guide the Golden Eagles to a 23-11 record on the year and a regular season South Sub Region Championship. Golden Eagles got the Championship game of the Region IX Tournament.

"I'm thrilled to be heading to Pepperdine as the location is incredible and I fit in great with the team," said Meads. "Their coaching staff has a vision and belief that I can be a special player for them and that is always welcoming."

Harrison will major in Philosophy at Pepperdine.

The Waves finished 9-22 on the season and compete in the NCAA DI West Coast Conference.
